Written for the Front Porch Ensemble through the Detroit Chamber Winds and Strings Young Composer-in-Residence program.
In four movements, the piece explores writer’s block through a narrative and performative approach. Ideas in the piece become formed in real time, and the role of the percussion is realized not only in a sonic form but also as an actor.
